  1. Take 2 cups chickpeas
  2. Make ready 1 cup split fava beans
  3. Take 1 cup chopped cilantro(coriander)

  6. Take 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  7. Take 1 tablespoon ground coriander seed
  8. Get 1 teaspoon baking powder

  7. Meanwhile in a large skillet, heat a sufficient amount of vegetable oil for deep frying.
  8. Then start immersing the falafel scoops in the hot oil.
  9. Flip over a couple of times until both sides are golden brown and crunchy on the outside.
  10. Remove from oil and place in a strainer to remove any excess oil.
  11. Falafel is served hot with tahini sauce, tomato slices, and pickles.
