- Take Gooseberry size soaked tamarind
- Prepare 2 tsp peanuts
- Prepare 1 red chilli
- Take 1 tablespoon red chilli powder
- Make ready Pinch turmeric powder
- Get 1/2 tablespoon coriander powder
- Take 1 tsp mustard seeds
- Get 1 tsp cumin seeds
- Take Handful curry leaves
- Prepare 1 tbsp jaggery
- Get to taste Salt
- Prepare 2 tbsp oil
- Take 1 glass water
This is very famous in one part of Sprinkle coriander leaves. Switch off the stove.yummy pulusu is ready. We had it with hot rice. So pachi pulusu literally means raw tamarind juice.
Steps to make Pachi pulusu:
- Soak tamarind for 30 mins
- Roast peanuts
- Grind peanuts, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt, turmeric, soaked tamarind, jaggery.
- Prepare tadka by keeping oil in the pan, once the oil heats, add mustard and cumin seeds, once it starts crackle, add red chiili, curry leaves.
- In the tadka add the grinded mixture, add water and raw sliced onion. You can have pachhi pulusu with rice.
But, pachi pulusu is a food item made in Telugu states. It is made in different ways, but I know two ways. Pachi Pulusu is typically served as a side dish for Mudda Pappu Annam (rice mixed with plain cooked lentils) and its beauty lies in its simplicity. Pachi Pulusu is an unheated version of stew goes very well with idli's,mudda pappu Annam(dal rice),upma,pulagam,uppu pindi & Ven pongal. This is a typical Andra special stew.
