  1. Get 1 cup normal rice
  2. Prepare 1.5 cup curd
  3. Get 1 medium onion chopped
  4. Take 1 green chilli

  6. Prepare 1 tbsp roasted chana dal
  7. Prepare For Tadka-
  8. Get 1 tbsp oil
  9. Get 1 string curry leave
  10. Make ready 1 tsp mustard deed
  11. Get Pinch hing
  12. Take 1 whole red chilli

Curd rice, also called Thayir Sadam, is a dish from south India. It is considered a comfort food by many. Curd rice is usually served at the end of the meal to combat the spiciness of the dinner. Simple Curd Rice can be prepared with steamed rice and plain curd or with additional tempering of urad dal, mustard seeds, chillies, coriander leaves and steamed rice.

Steps to make Curd rice:
  1. Soak rice for 15 minutes. Then boil it. We need a little sticky rice. After cooking let it cool down completely.
  2. In a big bowl add curd onion green chilli chana dal and salt. Now add rice to it.
  3. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seed, curry leaves,hing and whole chilli. Wait for splutter of muster seed. Add this tadka to rice and mix once again.
  4. You can serve rice in this condition and u can serve these after putting in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Cool the rice then add curds and mix well. Pour the seasoning onto the rice and curd mixture.
